Last year I shared with you about the National Center for Home Food Preservation. They have information on canning and freezing produce that will help you make the most of your share of produce, especially on heavier weeks of the season.
This year I want to share the USDA Complete Guide to Home Canning, which is newly revised and a GREAT resource. You can download all the chapters in PDF format to save or print, or you can buy a hard copy of the book from the Purdue Extension Store.
I particularly like making jam from spring fruits and relishes from summer veggies! If you can, share with us what you make and feel free to send in recipes for the site via email or post them on our Facebook page!
